Inspired by an unusual attraction to a variety of musical styles including legendary artists like Neil Young and Sheryl Crow, Chelsea picked up the guitar at an early age and started writing music soon after. She got her start by playing her brand of folk-pop at clubs and coffee shops in and around Los Angeles, but soon discovered that she could cause a bigger stir by playing on the streets of Santa Monica, California. She stops people passing by in their tracks, shaking them away from their everyday lives with her hauntingly soulful voice and quiet confidence.
Nowadays, the darling of the Santa Monica Promenade has gained recognition well outside her musical home base. Last year she was picked to star in a Chevrolet commercial depicting the familiar role of a street musician who who plays coffee shops and subway stations.
